I'm so excited about the new blog! Your book is amazing--great, easy recipes that my entire family really loves. I never could have believed that cooking healthy could taste so good. Your ideas have pumped up our family nutrition and we have all lost weight in the process! Thanks Moms!
I am so happy that you started a blog. That little icon on your main site is awesome, if you post the code, I would be be MORE than happy to put it up on my blog so others can find you. It's so important for families to get informed. Your book is AMAZING, I recommend it to Moms in my playgroups.
Hi Diane:
We'd be delighted if you added a link from your blog to ours! The address is www.MealMakeoverMoms.blogspot.com.
Thanks and keep in touch!
I am so excited about your blog. Your cookbook is my absolute favorite. I hope you are writing another one. I can't wait to try more recipes!
I'm so excited that I found your blog! I recently purchased your cookbook and am loving it! I began using all organic/natural products for my family a few years ago, and it was nice to find a cookbook that also shared many of my same values. I did have a few questions though, and am not sure if this is the right place to post them?
Hi Amber:
Yes, this is a perfect place to ask questions, give us feedback, and share ideas. We love to hear from fellow moms (and dads) and look forward to getting the discussion going!
I have changed ingredients in several older receipes to make them healthier for my family. Your receipes have been great! I was curious - I have totally replaced All Purpose Flour and only use Whole Wheat. In your book, I noticed that you use half of each - is this a taste thing or is the All Purpose Flour really needed? Also, I stopped using salt about 10yrs ago and noticed that you use Kosher salt in several receipes. Again, is this needed for taste or is it needed?
Hi Amber:
For us, it's about compromise. Most recipes call for only white flour. Making the switch to all whole wheat might be too radical for some people -- and it could make the recipe a bit dense. If you use all whole wheat in some recipes and they are well accepted by your family, by all means keep it up!
As for salt, we use a moderate amount of kosher salt in many of our recipes to kick up the flavor. Diamond Crystal Kosher Salt has half the sodium of regular table salt and is our favorite brand.
Keep your questions coming!
